Our 2011 Pilot

Meet Elvie and Bregsin

Elvie, 22 and Bregsin, 19 are from the pilot class of BagoSphere. They are both high school graduates.

Elvie worked part-time as a service crew in Manila for a few months. However, she could not cope with the high cost of living and returned to Bago City.Like Elvie, Bregsin has difficulties finding a regular job in Bago City after graduation. Living in a rural sugar cane plantation on the out skirts of Bago City, Bregsin’s elderly parents depend on him for their daily needs.

Both Elvie and Bregsin aspire to find a regular job so that they can save money to start and complete their college education. Just like everybody else, dreams can only fulfilled when they and their family break out of poverty.

After BagoSphere, Elvie is now a call center agent at Transcom, and earning a salary PHP 12,000 per month including work performances bonuses and healthcare benefits. She intends to work a few years in a call center to save money to study business in college.
